Dear Vinod, Leela and Belinda and the Boys, No Words can help reduce the void left in one's life when you lose your mother. Only time can heal. Pray that you and all in your family have the strength to go through this sad phase in your lives. Please take consolation that she is in a better place free from all the constraints that had been placed on her free spirit in this world.

I am glad we visited her a few days before she passed away.

I feel really blessed to have known Vimala Akka. She was such a strong and caring person, some one you could turn to when you needed advice.

May her Soul Rest in Peace

Love

Some people have this special ability to leave a mark on you no matter how short or how long a duration you have known them. Dr.Vimala was one such person. My husband & I first met her very briefly at their farm in Marulan for Fathers day for the first and last time but she gave us love like she had known us for ever. I will never forget her gentle manner towards my whole family. May her Soul Rest in Peace.

Aunty Vimala,

Wow!! Where do I begin?, migrating from Singapore in 1979,  I had the privilege and honour of meeting the Nanayar family, who immediately made me feel welcome and part of their family. With many very happy weekend spent with my new found family. The warm and very comforting feeling of belonging and being around my New Australian Family.

Aunty Vimala and Daddy would spend time with my dad on his frequent visits to Australia playing cards and having fun.

I was to marry Lindy in March 1986 and I asked Aunty Vimala if she'd mind giving me away for my parents could not be here for the wedding, to which in typical Aunty Vimala style took it on herself to play my real Australian Mother.

You know how they say a picture says a thousand words.
This picture was taken on the 8th of March 1986 the morning of my wedding.....

Aunty Vim we kind of lost you about 5 years ago with your illness, but you were still here for us to visit.

Your love and Generosity shown to me, my family and everyone around you will never be forgotten, you’re still are within us in many many ways Aunty Vim

We will truly miss, your energy, your cooking, your caring, your presence and the great amount of love and respect you have shown us all.

We love you Aunty Vimala and will miss you, but you are still in our hearts and memories.....
